ABOUT ME
Professional Adventurer
Mingalaba! My name is Monjo and my passion is to share the natural beauty of my country with adventure seekers from all over the world. I have been working as a mountain hiking tour guide since 2013, and over the years my work has turned into my passion.

My family and I were born and raised in the small village; Yimbya situated on the East Side Mountains of Inle Lake. Yimbya houses just over 80 local families who work together very closely for the well-being of the whole community. My dream is to have all efforts from Monjo Adventures give back to the growth and happiness of my village people, and most importantly to my heart, help towards the local orphanage in which many of our village children rely on.

I can take you on a trekking journey through the beautiful central Myanmar mountain ranges surrounding the bustling Market Hub which is Inle Lake, Shan State, Myanmar; you will find yourself immersed amongst the local humble villagers, surrounded by peaceful rolling mountains whilst enjoying the challenges of easy to moderate hiking. Visit Monasteries, Stupas, Historical Caves and Myanmar’s only Winery right here with Monjo Adventures.

WEST ADVENTURE A: INLE LAKE ↔ KALAW
$50/person ( 2 Days / 1 Night)
Embark on a 2D1N Adventure through the West mountain ranges of Inle Lake. Starting at either Inle Lake or Kalaw, you will trek on narrow paths through dense tropical forests, then welcomed with breathtaking open spaces of luscious green rolling mountains filled with locally grown rice, corn, ginger, tomatoes and many more. Witness local villagers in their day to day lives, buffalo farming techniques, all explained in detail as I guide you through your adventure. Experience living local with a choice of either our basic Family or Monastery Stay.
Was pleasantly surprised by the local knowledge and friendliness that Monjo had provided for me and my partner. He personally cooked the local cuisine and by far it has been the best I've had on my trip to Myanmar! Monjo was a great guide, English was better than all the guides I've met so far, he was able to give me a good history and understanding of the local people and how they live which differed from tribe to tribe.
